From the recording Archives

This piece belongs to the first series of rhythms used to learn and practice traditional drums. Students and teachers alike maintain a regular beat and intensity, with a musical repetitive musical pattern. We played this during my concert@Angkor in February 2011, with 15 drummers and Nam Narim choreographed a contemporary dance on it. On stage were 4 generations of dancesr: Em Theay, her daughter Preab Thong Kim An, her grand daughter Narim and their disciple Sibxy Na Panh. They represented the transmission of intangible heritage and the inevitable tension between preservation and evolution.
